Artist statement
My work takes ordinary functional objects such as keys, silverware, vessels, lace, and floral prints, and reinterprets them into pieces crafted using a variety of metals. I draw inspiration from antique venues including museums, retail, and found objects. My inspirations are not limited to texas but extend to both the east and west coasts. while most drawn to floral imagery, my background in interior design allows me to additionally connect my process to architecture and decor.

Processes that are repetitive and detail oriented are present throughout my current work. My practice includes but is not limited to piercing, raising, etching, and forging chainmail. These processes allow me to explore a series of material experimentations and find different uses or functions for ordinary objects.
